From The Wizard of Oz, to Meet Me In St. Louis, to this great performance, she just sparkled, in everything she did. It's just too bad, she didn't get to have a long and happy life. RIP, Judy- we'll always remember you as that little girl from Kansas.😔💒.

This is one instance where the movie dancing is superior to some stage revivals I have seen. Full movie heimweh nach st. louis vuitton. They never show this movie any more during Christmas season any more! I wish the networks or who ever should go back to the Classics at Christmas Time, Scrooge, Bells of St Mary's, etc. Full movie heimweh nach st. louis airport. I just saw the play today. This is a dream of a movie, which is to say that it's as much like a dream as any movie I've ever seen. In this dream the world is a happy place, everyone is good, people only do kind deeds, lovers always come together, there is no deceit, only misunderstandings that are always resolved for the benefit of all concerned. It is a perfect movie, ravishingly, deliriously beautiful. Every time I visit it I'm smitten all over again. Judy singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" always breaks my heart. It's like a keepsake.
All this sweetness and light is nicely balanced by Margaret O'Brien's portrayal of the little girl and her obsession with her dead - and buried - dolls. It's a delightful touch of ghoulish comedy - Margaret O'Brien really pulls it off, too (I also saw her, recently, in "The Secret Garden" and I was really impressed with her maturity and range in that film. In fact, the entire Hallowe'en sequence is a sheer phantasmagorical delight, perfectly capturing the illusions and imagination of childhood. I know someone who adamantly refuses to watch old movies. Not to seem smug or superior, but it's too bad, because experiencing the world from another time and place, spirit and mind-set, and marvelling at the beauty created by artists and technology of the past, are priceless. Movies can do that for you. So whenever I need to dream a little dream I pull out my copy of "Meet Me in St. Louis" or simply arrange to be home when it's playing on TCM. Then I move on with my life.

I feel so bad for her. She was on many narcotics during all of her films and was forced to have 2 abortions during her time in the limelight. She hardly ever got any sleep from working so much. They wanted to use her for all they could while she was still looking young. Hollywood sickens me. CAN YOU BALE A PIE. no. niether can I. 😐 😑😑. Wow, just pure talent they don't make movies music etc like this anymore. what is going on.

Full movie heimweh nach st. louis metro. Love Frances Gumm 👠💛💋. God I want to learn to tap this so badly. You obviously have never heard any song by fall of troy r-tard. I love this song. It takes 1 hour before the main premises of the film is finally revealed. In turn of the century St. Louis, a family faces having to move right before the Worlds Fair is to be shown.
Some of the antics are quite silly. I'm still trying to figure out the significance of the Halloween scene.
Judy Garland belts out The Trolley Song, the title song and Boy Next Door with her usual beautiful voice.
The film was really something different for Mary Astor. The veteran dramatic actress nicely plays the mother of the group.
Tom Drake takes a turn at singing as does "father" Leon Ames along with wife Annie. (Astor)
Was Garland wearing a wig here? While I realize the time-setting of the film, her hair looked ridiculous. I thought she was Rapunzel, or a woman with a mop for a head of hair.
The family basically succeeds because of the music and the strong family ties generated.
